    Carbon Steel Grades 1 and 6 are impact tested at -50°F. Three and one half nickel Grade 3 material is impact tested for services down to -150°F.

    A/SA333 pipe is available dual certified in Grades 1 and 6.

    In addition to the materials listed, rolled and welded plate pipe manufactured in accordance with ASTM/ASME Specifications A/SA671 is available for low temperature service.

    Plate Specifications A/SA516 Grades 60, 65 and 70 indicating their respective Tensile Strengths in ksi are normally used for the same services as Grades 1 and 6. Three and one half nickel material is manufactured from A/SA203 Grade D plate.

    Charpy V-Notch Impact Testing is required. Supplementary Requirements and an Appendix also address impact testing in this specification.
