Chrome Moly Alloy Pipe, Valves, Fittings & Flanges

U.S. Metals is a premier worldwide supplier for Chrome Alloy Seamless Pipe, Welded Pipe, Heater Tubes, Buttweld Fittings, Flanges, Forged Fittings, Forged Valves, Cast Alloy Steel Valves.

One of the Most Extensive Chrome Inventories in the World.

When operating in extreme conditions, the materials used are critical to an application’s success. U.S. Metals carries an extensive inventory of chrome moly alloy, which excels in environments facing high pressures, temperatures, and corrosion.

Chrome moly alloy is typically available as seamless pipe, heater tubes, flanges, fittings, and welded pipe. At U.S. Metals, we stock this material in a variety of sizes, lengths, and thicknesses. An extensive inventory enables our team to quickly supply material that satisfies any industry standard or emergency request per our customer requirements. Grades we carry include:

Chrome Moly Alloy Seamless Pipe Characteristics

Chrome moly alloy seamless pipe is a tubular product with enhanced levels of chromium and molybdenum. The added chromium helps increase the alloy’s hardenability and corrosion resistance, while the improved molybdenum helps bolster its toughness and corrosion resistance. Additional characteristics of chrome moly alloy seamless pipe include:

  • Strong creep strength
  • Improved rigidity
  • Superior hardenability
  • Robust wear resistance
  • Good impact resistance
  • Easy to fabricate

U.S. Metals experts have extensive materials/specification knowledge on Chrome Moly Alloy materials. Seamless pipe is extruded and drawn from a billet, while welded pipe is produced from a strip that is roll formed and welded. Welded pipe is often less expensive than comparably sized seamless pipe, but it does not offer similar working capabilities. Flanges connect pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment, forming a piping system.

Chrome Moly Alloy Applications

Chrome moly alloy is beneficial when the strength and corrosion resistance offered by standard low-alloy steels isn’t sufficient for the application. Examples include:

  • Pipe
  • Valves
  • Fittings
  • Flanges

A robust and versatile material, this low-alloy steel is utilized by a wide array of industries. Examples include:
