  • The table shown above addresses only the WP Grade wrought buttweld fittings produced in accordance with ASME B16.9. The permissible raw materials and manufacturing operations listed in B/SB366 allow producing forged threaded and socket weld fittings in accordance with ASME B16.11.

Specifications B/SB366 cover all the material grades listed above. Alloy 20 is the only grade listed above that is covered by A/SA182. B/SB462 also covers Alloy 20 B16.11 forged fittings.

Most nickel/nickel alloy specifications especially in pipe and tube refer only to the uns number for material identification. Classes and Grades are occasionally used to identify options for items such as NDT, heat treatment or different methods employed when welding with filler metal such as single welded or double welded. these options do not result in an additional uns number in the nickel materials.

Grades/Classes/Identification Symbols are shown in this table only when they are used for material identification. Buttweld Fittings under B/SB366 have the same suffix class marking requirements (S,W,WX,WU and CR) as A/SA403.

Specification B/SB564 permits manufacture of all the grades listed above except for Nickel 201 and Alloy 20.
